Fast Ways To Lose Weight – The Beginning

Aug 9th, 2009 by admin

Has the media intrigued you into looking for fast ways to lose weight? Have the recent Jenny Craig, NutriSystem, Lindora, and other such commercials inspired you to do something about the extra weight you have?  Congratulations, you have come to the right place.  Weight loss is a huge commitment and searching for answers is the first step.  But now that you are here, if you are looking for me to endorse the prepared foods diet methods, you are mistaken.I must say, those weight loss systems work.  You must buy the food, microwave the food and then eat the small portions.  You will also receive many losing weight tips from their prescribed program.  You will be given the right amount of calories to lose weight. While they teach you to eat the small portions, they do not teach you to prepare your own food and eat healthy meals.  What they do not teach you is the importance of nutrition.  They also do not teach you about the negative effects of microwaving food which I will cover in a future post.To start, I would suggest that upon waking in the morning you drink one liter of water.  Water allows your kidneys to function properly. When your body receives adequate water, it will also eliminate the extra water in your body. Thus allowing you to lose water weight.  As you continue to give your body all the water it could ask for, it gets rid of what it doesn’t need. In addition, your body functions at its maximum efficiency when it is fully hydrated.  Oh and yes, you will eat less.  Make sure you drink at least 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water.Eat at least six meals per day.  Yes, it is one of the fast ways to lose weight. Research shows that eating throughout the day will keep your metabolism up, thus allowing you to burn calories to lose weight. It is not an easy request to keep up.  It is important that you plan your meals ahead of time or you will find yourself reaching for the very junk you do not wish to eat because you are desperate. If you are interested in my story and my journey through my weight loss battle, I encourage you to visit www.naturescureforhealth.comIn my next post I will discuss fasting weight loss, and meal replacement smoothies.

Aug 29th, 2009 by admin

I need to change my weight fast can anyone help me to loose some extra pounds and get some muscles?
Well, depending on your fitness level your at now, it will vary, running is a good way to lose weight, eat healthier, it depends on what muscles you want to build. Push ups can work arms and abs too if you spread your legs when you do them, situps/crunches will work abs, pull ups, like on a bar will work your upper body

How fast can you lose weight without it being unhealthy?

Aug 29th, 2009 by admin

This winter break, I am planning on making a strong effort to lose weight. For all who are wondering, the break will be 6 weeks long.

Here is what I am planning to do:
-Eat a very reasonable diet.
-Take protein supplements.
-Drink lots of water.
-Ride my bike for an hour or two a day.
-Go to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and do some anaerobic exercise to build lean muscle.

Would this be unhealthy? I have a feeling I will lose weight rather quickly, but a friend told me that losing weight fast is almost as unhealthy as being overweight in the first place. Is my plan unreasonable?

Thoughts?
Start doing that before the break, start out slow, it will take a while for your body to get accustomed to all the changes. Starving yourself is just as bad as burning off all the calories you ate that day, just make sure you get 1200 calories a day, and ride your bike for an hour maybe, two seems a bit extreme for now, especially if you’re coming out of an inactive lifestyle. Your friend is right, just don’t go overboard with the exercising. If your body goes into starvation mode you could easily gain all the weight back as fast as you lost it. Good luck!

What are some ways I can lose weight fast, but not starve myself and cause myself to gain the weight back?

Aug 29th, 2009 by admin

I have been up and down with my weight and I want a solid ground. I am over the weight I what I want to be, so I am trying to find fast, effiecient ways to lose the weight I want. I want these strategies to help me in the long-term of keeping my weight at a certain number. I also dont want these strategies to backfire on me like others have.
Weight loss is a lifestyle change.

If you lose weight quickly, your body will go in to starvation mode no matter what your weight is so if you lose weight relatively quickly, your body will hold on to all of the nutrients it does get. So you may lose a couple of pounds but your body will want to hold on to more for a while so you will gain the weight back and then some. That’s just the way it is.

If you can find a job where there is a lot of physical work involved, that would be very good!

You need to get your activity level up and keep it there.

You can not be bringing home so much junk food. It is easier to just walk by that stuff at the store than it is to avoid it when you are at home and the temptation is too much to take.

Trade the junk food for veggies and fruits. At first it kind of sucks but after a while it can become your happy food.

Also, being overweight is often tied to emotional baggage. It’s just like consuming too much alcohol. There are emotional issues to work out. Once that is addressed, dealt with and out of the way, losing weight will be easier. Your attatude and body will more easily reflect the beautiful person you know you are. You will be more likely to treat yourself better.

Bordeom also causes you to eat much. Get out! Walk! Ride your bike when you can. Walk to places instead of driving. I know it depends on where you live as to weather or not you can do that. Some cities in general are way better for that.

Best of luck to you. :0)

What is the best way to loose weight fast?

Aug 28th, 2009 by admin

Okay i know weight loss isn’t supposed to be easy or fast. But if you were to have an important get to gether (or something) in a week or two, what is a good way to loose noticable weight??
Hi vbplayer,

If your really looking to lose weight within a week or two then you need to get into gear and get to work. Dont worry, im not talking about anything to extreme here. Im just talking about a few key things:

-If you do not exercise you need to start. You need to run at least a half mile per day 5 days per week. Ideally you should run a mile per day 5 days per week, but what ever you can handle.

-Make sure you start your day with Quaker Oatmeal as it supresses your hunger. If your hungry like I am this really helps. Its also full of fiber and whole grain which are good for you.

-Drink Green tea as it also supresses your hunger and is good for you.

-stay awaway from complex carbs, junk foods and all fast food.

-eat at least 3-6 times per day, but make your meals very small (around 300 calories each). Make sure you only eat lean meat, veggies, fruits and low fat foods.

-Start working out right away, the more muscle you have on you the more fat you burn. I suggest you lift heavy one day, light the next, heavy the next etc. You might want to even go with every other day as I know I build muscle quicker doing this.

Bottom line is eat several small healthy meals per day, run, workout and eat foods that supress your hunger. If you have any medical conditions please consult your doctor before doing this though.

I might also add that starving yourself will actually make you gain weight. It slows down your matobolism and you will gain weight or stay the same for the first week. The only way you lose weight with starvation is if you are truely starving, but you then build it back double sadly. If your body thinks you are starving then it prepares for the next time you "starve" to keep you alive longer. That makes sense right?

All in all I hope this info helps you lose weight. I also wish you good luck. Talk to you later :)

Fasting For Weight Loss

Aug 13th, 2009 by admin

Many people have asked me if I have lost weight through fasting. As I reflect on my weight loss journey, I would have to say yes. But it was not the type of fast that
most would consider. I have done a variety of fasts for cleansing and detoxification purposes let me stress that I have not done fasting for weight loss.

It is my belief that when you cleanse and detoxify your system, your body will have the ability to absorb more of the nutrients in the food that you are already eating.
Because your body is absorbing more nutrients, you will eat less food and feel better. Consequently, you will lose weight because you are eating less.
When I began looking into cleanses I started with what is called a Daniel Fast. In the bible in the book of Daniel you will find an account of these fasts. Basically the Daniel fast is a diet consisting of fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, and grain. During this fast you may NOT have all meat and animal products, solid fats, dairy products, sweeteners, processed foods, fried foods, or drinks except water.

I did this fast for 21 days and I lost 16 pounds. I ate whenever I was hungry, I just
limited my intake or what I ate. This is the only fast that I lost weight on and it stayed off. Remember my goal was not to lose weight.

The second fast I did was also as a cleanse and that was the Arise and Shine cleanse. On this cleanse I did lose weight but not that much. I lost 9 pounds but I gained 4 of
them back.
The third and final cleanse that I have used is the master cleanse. I did this on for 10 days and l lost a total of 4 pounds after gaining some of the weight back.
Even though I lost weight as a result of the fasts, that was not my intention going in to them. I must stress once again that I did not do these for weight loss. One important issue to remember is that when you are fasting you will lose water weight.
When looking at the fasts as fast ways to lose weight,  I would choose the Daniel fast or Daniel diet. I encourage you to read up and study about the different fasts.  I will post links for more information soon.
